Born in Taitung and deeply attached to his homeland, Lin Ziqin is an artist specializing in realistic figurative portraits. A graduate of the Graduate School of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University, he briefly studied in northern Taiwan but ultimately returned to Taitung, dedicating himself to academia, education, and artistic creation.

His works are renowned for their exquisite hyperrealism, imbued with breathtaking detail. At first glance, his paintings are often mistaken for photographs, but a closer look reveals a world he has created with every stroke of his brush. From the minute pores on a figure's face to the warp and weft of fabric, he depicts them with exquisite detail, pushing the realism of his paintings to the extreme.

Lin Ziqin's creative themes primarily revolve around the local culture and life of Taitung, with a particular deep observation and emotional connection to the people and culture of Indigenous tribes. He not only paints "likeness" but also captures the "soul" and story of his subjects.
